Ninja Five-O Brings Classic Action to Modern Platforms February 25

Konami is bringing back a cult classic. Ninja Five-O, originally released for the GameBoy Advance in 2003, is making its return on February 25th, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Digital pre-orders are live now, so you can lock in your ninja adventure early.

Joe Osugi Returns to Uphold Justice

Ninja Five-O puts players in the sandals of Joe Osugi, a Zipangu city detective with a deadly set of ninja skills. His mission? Take down a terrorist organization wielding the power of mythical masks. Whether you’re stopping a train hijacking or foiling a bank robbery, Osugi’s arsenal of sword strikes, shuriken throws, and grappling-hook combos ensures you’ll deliver justice with style.

New Features for Modern Ninjas

This remastered version of Ninja Five-O enhances the original with modern quality-of-life updates, including:

  • Time Trial Mode: Replay cleared stages with a timed objective for an extra challenge.
  • Save and Rewind: Progression saves allow you to load your game at any point, while the rewind feature gives you a second shot at tricky sections.

These additions aim to keep the game’s old-school spirit intact while reducing frustration for newcomers and veterans alike.

Part of Konami’s Retro Revival

Ninja Five-O joins Konami’s growing list of retro revivals, alongside Felix the Cat and Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-Sparked. This release keeps the magic of 2000s-era platforming alive, now with smoother controls and fresh updates to make the gameplay shine on modern platforms.
