Rusty Rabbit Release Date Set for NetEase Side-Scroller

NetEase Games and Nitro Plus have revealed the Rusty Rabbit release date for the upcoming 2.5D side-scrolling action-adventure game.

In a trailer released by NetEase yesterday, it was announced that Rusty Rabbit will be released for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Thursday, April 17, 2025. The title will cost $19.99 MSRP, and preorders for the game are now available.

Those who preorder on PlayStation will be able to play the game three days before release, while the Switch version will also get a physical release. Finally, the PC version comes with the soundtrack, which was written by sound producer Busted Rose. A demo will be released for the game on February 20, which will cover the beginning of the game and will allow players to transfer their save data to the full version.

What is Rusty Rabbit about?

“Thousands of years after humans left this planet, it was rabbits who inherited it… Stamp, an old and eccentric rabbit living on a planet abandoned by humanity, spends his days piloting his trusty mech affectionately known as ‘Junkster,’ collecting junk throughout the ruins of the frozen world and tinkering with machines,” reads the game’s official synopsis. “In a stroke of bad luck, Stamp crashes down into the world’s lower levels. There he finds D-TAM; terminals for storing information. Using D-TAM, he finds info related to his missing daughter and a hidden truth about the world they live in. Thus his journey begins, digging deeper into these ruins to unfold the mysteries surrounding this world.”
