Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade Gets Release Date and New Trailer

The vibrant action RPG Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade is bringing roguelite samurai combat to PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC on April 24, 2025. Featuring three distinct playable warriors, intense demon-slaying battles, and a cycle of life and death, this feudal Japan-inspired adventure is shaping up to be a must-play for action fans.

Demon-Slaying in Feudal Japan

Developed by Taiwanese indie team 7Quark, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade drops players into a war between humans and demons, sparked by the invasion of the legendary Nine-Tailed Fox. Taking control of three unique warriors—each fully voiced by top-tier Japanese talent—players will carve their way through hordes of malevolent spirits in a fast-paced rogue-lite experience.

The playable characters include:

  • Shigure (Yoko Hikasa) – A master of the Demon Blade, capable of devastating swordplay.
  • Sara (Ayana Taketatsu) – An Oni Emissary wielding powerful demonic energy.
  • Taketora (Rikiya Koyama) – A Demon Samurai and master archer, blending precision and brute strength.

Roguelite Action with Deep Customization

With each run, players will collect Soul Orbs to upgrade their weapons, unlock new combat techniques, and gain mystical blessings from the Neko Shrine to tailor their playstyle. Exploration also leads to hidden high-difficulty stages, secret areas, and even a Demon Festival, where players can form alliances with friendly yokai for extra rewards.

Fans of food-based buffs will appreciate the recipe system, where gathering ingredients unlocks dishes—like mystical ramen—that provide powerful stat boosts.

Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade launches on April 24, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
