Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Revives SEGA’s Classic Ninja Action on August 29

SEGA has officially unveiled Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, a stylish 2D action platformer that revives the beloved Shinobi series in collaboration with Lizardcube, the studio behind Streets of Rage 4. First revealed at The Game Awards 2023, the game will launch on August 29, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders are now live on select platforms.

A Tale of Vengeance and Mastery

Returning as Joe Musashi, the legendary ninja must embark on a quest for revenge after discovering his village reduced to ash and his clan turned to stone. The game blends fast-paced combat, deep ninja techniques, and intricate platforming, all wrapped in Lizardcube’s hand-drawn art style.
