It’s been 20 long years since we got Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop for the Nintendo DS, and Bandai Namco has finally graced us with a follow-up title, Tamagotchi Plaza. Set up various quirky shops in Tamagotchi Plaza to make Tamahiko Town the most appealing place for the Great Gotchi King to have his Tamagotchi Fest! Yeah, I’m not joking, that’s the plot. Boasting over 100 Tamagotchi, Tamagotchi Plaza might satisfy your Tamagotchi needs for the next 20 years.
What is Tamagotchi Plaza about?
The Great Gotchi King has declared the Tamagotchi Fest will be held in the most exciting city on Tamagotchi Planet. Prince Tamahiko, who is in charge of Tamahiko Town, wants to have the Tamagotchi Fest in his town. You’ll be helping him by setting up and working in various shops that each pose unique gameplay elements as you serve and attract customers meeting more than 100 Tamagotchis. Interestingly enough, Tamagotchi Plaza features a link function with Tamagotchi Uni. For the first time, players will be able to connect with the Tamagotchi Uni. By linking with the Uni, you’ll gain access to exclusive items, special events, and unique conversations not available in the base game.
Tamagotchi Plaza brings back the series’ unique and engaging experience of setting up quirky shops and serving cute characters. The Great Gotchi King has declared the Tamagotchi Fest will be held in the most exciting city on Tamagotchi Planet. It will be up to the player to help Prince Tamahiko turn Tamahiko Town into a lively place fit to welcome the festival. Players open and grow shops, with a dozen different shops that include the Dentist and other returning classics along with new shops such Afternoon Tea Shop, Eyeware Shop and more. Each shop features unique game play as players serve and attract customers, meeting more than 100 different Tamagotchi and enhancing their and Tamahiko Town’s reputation. Some shops feature couch co-op mini-games playable with a friend.
