INDIE Live Expo 2025 Teases April 13 Showcase with New Trailer, Mascot, and Massive Game Lineup

The biannual INDIE Live Expo is back this weekend, and it’s already building serious hype. Ahead of the April 13 showcase, the organizers dropped a new teaser trailer, giving fans a sneak peek at just a few of the 100+ indie games set to appear. The show kicks off at 6 PM JST / 10 AM CET / 5 AM EST, streaming in English on YouTube and Twitch, and promises another jam-packed celebration of global indie creativity.

With over 100 million views since it first launched in 2020, INDIE Live Expo has become a go-to event for indie devs to show off what they’ve been cooking, whether it’s bold new concepts or sequels to beloved hits.

The teaser highlights a handful of eye-catching titles that will be featured during the broadcast, including:

  • HYKE: NorthernLight(s) – A gorgeous pixel-art 2D action RPG from Akatsuki Games and Aniplex
  • Soulmask – A gritty survival game set in the primitive era from CampFire Studio
  • Hungry Meem – A charming narrative settlement builder by Drecom Co., Ltd.

Familiar Faces and New Energy

Returning to host the English stream are fan-favorite emcees Kaori Horiuchi, J-mon, and HighGai, who’ll guide viewers through the showcase’s rapid-fire format and in-depth spotlights.

Joining the team for the first time is Wishlist Addmi Chan, a VTuber-style mascot duo designed to champion wishlisting and indie game awareness. They’ll be narrating the teaser and popping up throughout the show to bring some extra personality and punch to the presentation.

What to Expect from the Show

The April edition of INDIE Live Expo will once again deliver its signature mix of content:

  • INDIE Waves – Lightning-fast 15-second updates showcasing a wide variety of games
