Tara Gaming’s first project promises a mythic, AAA action-adventure grounded in Indian history and powered by legends from cinema, literature, and games.
India is stepping into the AAA gaming spotlight with The Age of Bhaarat, a new action-adventure game developed by Tara Gaming Limited. Revealed today with a sweeping new trailer, The Age of Bhaarat aims to bring Indian epics to a global audience with blockbuster visuals, intense combat, and deeply rooted cultural storytelling.
And the team behind the game is just as epic as the world they’re building. Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, celebrated author Amish Tripathi (Shiva Trilogy), and veteran game designer Nouredine Abboud (Ghost Recon Highland) have joined forces as co-founders of Tara Gaming. Their goal: put India on the global gaming map with high-quality games that reflect the country’s vast mythological and cultural heritage.
A First Look at a Mythic India
In The Age of Bhaarat, players will journey through a reimagined ancient India, encountering mythical beasts, war-torn kingdoms, and powerful warriors shaped by epic lore. The debut trailer teases lush landscapes, massive creatures, and cinematic storytelling, giving off major God of War and Assassin’s Creed vibes—but through an unmistakably Indian lens.
The project is deeply influenced by Indian itihaas (history and epics), and Tara Gaming wants it to serve as a global gateway into the richness of Indian storytelling traditions.
“Gaming is where stories come alive for the next generation,” said Amitabh Bachchan, who called his involvement “an extension of [his] lifelong commitment to storytelling.”
