The high-stakes, VR-exclusive thrill ride Death Game Hotel from White Owls Inc. and cult-favorite game director SWERY (Deadly Premonition, The Good Life) is officially making its way to SteamVR on May 29, bringing cross-platform mayhem, new systems, and the full free-to-play experience to PC VR players.
With full cross-play between SteamVR and Meta Quest headsets, Death Game Hotel finally opens its deadly doors to a much broader audience—and it won’t cost you a dime to enter. Starting May 29 at 10 a.m. PDT, players can jump into this bizarre and brutal competitive VR game and fight for chips, glory, and survival.
“Yes, it’s free-to-play! More players. More chaos. True cross-platform carnage,” said SWERY, Game Director and CEO of White Owls Inc.
What’s New in This Killer Update?
To celebrate the PC launch, White Owls has rolled out a major post-relaunch update based on player feedback, including:
- Gacha Machine: Use your winnings to gamble for wild prizes.
- Social Features: Add friends, chat with stamps and phrases, and view nearby players.
- Rank System & VIP Room: Climb the leaderboard to access exclusive areas.
- New Gear: Weapons like the Popcorn Machine Gun and Cracker Bazooka add to the madness.
- Lobby Overhaul: Quality-of-life improvements like trash bins and a trophy counter.
- Login Bonuses: A new daily reward card design spices up your chip grind.
Death Game Hotel originally launched in April for Meta Quest, but this is the first time SteamVR users can dive in, bringing all the stylish, sinister charm of a SWERY title to PC VR.
