Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Pre-Orders Go Live for Nintendo Switch Ahead of August Launch

The next chapter in Demon Slayer’s arena-fighting saga is just around the corner. SEGA has opened up Nintendo Switch pre-orders for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2, with the game officially launching on August 5, 2025, across Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms.

To mark the occasion, SEGA also released a new trailer showcasing the game’s Swordsmith Village Arc, giving fans a glimpse at how this pivotal story chapter is rendered in the sequel’s Story Mode.

A Deeper Look at the Swordsmith Village Arc

If you want an even longer look at what’s in store, IGN has dropped a 19-minute gameplay preview of the Swordsmith Village Arc in action. The extended video highlights major fights, cutscenes, and character interactions from the anime’s most emotional arc yet.

Pre-Order Details for Switch and Beyond

The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is available in three editions, each with a handful of bonuses:

Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99)

  • Base game
  • 6 total Character Unlock Keys
  • VS Mode Voice Set: Upper Rank Demons
  • 3 exclusive Battle Attire Costumes
  • Pre-order bonus: Muichiro Tokito & Mitsuri Kanroji character keys

Digital Standard Edition ($59.99)
