Funcom is ready to dig deeper into the sands of Arrakis. Following a successful large-scale beta earlier this month, the developers behind the upcoming survival MMO Dune: Awakening have announced an exclusive livestream that will explore the game’s ambitious mid-to-endgame content.
The stream, titled “Beyond the Beta: A Glimpse of Dune: Awakening’s Mid-to-Endgame,” will air May 28 at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 18:00 CEST on Twitch and YouTube. The showcase will cover systems and regions that weren’t included in the recent 20-25 hour beta weekend experience.
From Hagga Basin to the Deep Desert
Players who participated in the beta only explored roughly a quarter of the Hagga Basin, but Dune: Awakening has much more in store beyond those early hours. The upcoming livestream will take fans deeper into the midgame progression loop, covering what you’ll be able to build, discover, and master as you venture farther across Arrakis.
Highlights will include:
- Midgame Settlements & Gear Systems
- An introduction to the political machinations of The Landsraad
- Endgame gameplay in the Deep Desert, showcasing PvE and PvP paths
- Advanced survival mechanics, power struggles, and territory control
Prepare for Launch
Dune: Awakening launches in early access on PC starting June 5, with the full release scheduled for June 10. Funcom aims to deliver a massive, persistent survival MMO grounded in Frank Herbert’s iconic universe, and the May 28 showcase is shaping up to be a critical preview of the scale and depth players can expect post-launch.
