Get ready to farm, shapeshift, and fall in love when Tales of Seikyu arrives in Early Access later this month.
Publisher Fireshine Games and developer ACE Entertainment have announced that Tales of Seikyu, their charming Yokai-themed fantasy life sim, will release into Steam Early Access on May 21st, 2025.
Set on the mythical island of Seikyu, a magical sanctuary where Yokai and humans live side by side, players take on the role of a young newcomer rebuilding a long-abandoned farmhouse passed down from the Fox Clan. Alongside your sister Kon, you’ll cultivate crops, raise animals, cook elaborate meals, and build meaningful relationships with the island’s eccentric (and often otherworldly) residents.
Tales of Seikyu’s biggest twist is its shapeshifting mechanic: transform into iconic Yokai forms like the flying Crow Tengu, slippery Slime, or mighty Boar, each offering new ways to traverse the world or manage your farm. Whether soaring through the skies or rooting through fertile fields, each form adds a unique gameplay flavor to your daily life.
The Early Access version includes:
- The opening story quests and prologue arc
- Full farming and decorating systems
- Seasonal events like the Carp Festival
- Six romanceable characters with personal storylines
- Multiple Yokai forms to unlock and master
“This is just the beginning,” said Katie Clark, Senior Product Manager at Fireshine Games. “We’re launching with a robust foundation and have major updates planned throughout Early Access—more story content, additional romance partners, new transformations, and surprises we can’t wait to reveal.”
