Big Walk Trailer Shows Off Hilarious Gameplay and 2026 Release Window

Big Walk, House House’s latest game, is a cooperative multiplayer adventure game allowing players to explore a vast island with a variety of challenges together. Alongside the trailer, Big Walk also received a release window of 2026 for the cooperative adventure for both PC and consoles. A follow-up to Untitled Goose Game is a big deal, but it looks like Big Walk is up to the task—trailer after the jump.

Unsurprisingly, the trailer is both hilarious and adorable. The Big Walk trailer shows off a lot of what you’ll be doing around the island and has some pretty impressive and fun functionality. The best way to work with your friends is over voice but Big Walk features a proximity chat feature as well. Players will be completing challenges together and some of the puzzles are built around requiring unconventional methods of communication.

The cooperative experience is always tough because it’s wholly based around the group of people you’ve enlisted to help. However, Big Walk seems like it’d be a great time regardless of who you’re playing with. Conceptually, exploring a huge island as a small creature is incredibly appealing to me. Especially the way House House has come up with contingencies for everything. Get split up from your friends? There’s a megaphone. Lost entirely? There’s a flare gun.

Big Walk looks like big fun.

Set out with your friends through a wide-open world full of challenges, puzzles, and discoveries. You’ll need to work together to find your way around, stay in contact using an assortment of tools and toys, and figure out new ways to communicate when you suddenly find yourself speechless.

Adventuring aside, there’s plenty of time to just hang out. Sit and watch the sunset, or steal your friend’s binoculars and kick them into the ocean. Spending time with friends is the best part of a big walk.

Big Walk Theme Song Released

The press release for Big Walk included a little something that I thought was pretty cool. The soundtrack is being composed by Melbourne artists Sam Gill and Luke Neher under the name AKSFX. The theme song is great and I dig it a lot. But AKSFX had some words to say about their experience becoming game composers and collaborating with House House to work on the soundtrack for Big Walk.  Luke Neher had this to say:

Ever since a track of ours got included in one of the club expansions to GTA Online in 2018 we had in the back of our heads that idea that we really wanted to try writing music for a video game. House House were so great about collaborating with us on these questions from the ground up with total openness to any idea or possibilities that emerged in our discussions. The only thing that they knew for sure was that they wanted the music to be diegetic — it’s coming out of actual speakers in the game and everyone hears it at once, and of course this made so much sense because the entire game is about hearing and being heard by your friends in real time.

Having all the music be diegetic is a really fascinating way to handle scoring the game and likewise, seems like a fun challenge for the composers themselves. I look forward to more music from AKSFX, especially related to Big Walk.

Big Walk is aiming for a 2026 release date on both PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and consoles, though which consoles is currently not revealed. Of course, if you want to show your interest in Big Walk, please make sure to add the game to your wishlist. Stay tuned to MonsterVine for ongoing coverage of House House, Day of the Devs, and Big Walk.
