Frosthaven, the highly anticipated video game adaptation of the best-selling board game, officially launches into Early Access on Steam and Epic Games Store on July 31. To celebrate the occasion, publisher Arc Games and developer Snapshot Games have released a brand-new Early Access launch trailer one day early, which showcases the atmospheric, co-op-driven gameplay and brutal tactical combat waiting in the snowy north.
Developed in partnership with Cephalofair Games, the creators of Gloomhaven, and featuring the design expertise of X-COM veteran Julian Gollop, Frosthaven brings the challenging, class-based tactical gameplay of its board game counterpart into the digital realm with new visual flourishes, voiceover narration, and quality-of-life improvements.

To mark the occasion, Frosthaven will be available for 10% off its regular $39.99 price until August 7. Additionally, a special Frosthaven + Gloomhaven digital bundle will also be available for a limited time, offering both games at a discounted price of $74.98, also 10% off.
What’s Included in Early Access?
Frosthaven is expected to remain in Early Access for approximately one year. The launch version already packs in substantial content:
- 35+ tactical quests across Acts 1 and 2
- 8 playable character classes (6 starters, 2 unlockables)
- 100+ narrated choice-driven events via Forteller Games
- Single-player and online co-op (2–4 players)
- Outpost management system for building and upgrading
- Full NVIDIA GeForce NOW streaming support
Players can expect updates every few months, expanding the campaign toward its planned 130+ total quests at 1.0 launch.
Frosthaven at Gen Con 2025
To coincide with the Early Access debut, Frosthaven will also be featured at Gen Con 2025 from July 31 to August 3. Attendees can check out an Early Access demo at both the Cephalofair Games and Forteller Games booths and meet the teams behind the adaptation.
An Ambitious Adaptation, Built with Community Feedback in Mind
Snapshot Games and Arc Games are encouraging players to share feedback through Frosthaven’s official Discord as the developers continue to expand and polish the game in collaboration with the community. A detailed content roadmap will be revealed shortly after launch to outline the future of the game as it heads toward full release.
