Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Launches with Major Accessibility and Customization Features

It’s launch week for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, and the game is bringing more than just nostalgia and gnarly lines. Developer Iron Galaxy has detailed a major list of accessibility, customization, and quality-of-life improvements, all designed to make the remastered package even more inclusive and player-friendly from day one.

In a new official overview posted to the Activision Games blog, the team outlined dozens of features meant to help players tweak the experience to suit their comfort, playstyle, and needs.

Accessibility Comes First

THPS 3+4 includes remappable controls, text-to-speech support, and colorblind modes — key additions for players with motor or visual impairments. Subtitles, camera shake toggles, UI scaling, and other accessibility-first options also make a return, ensuring more skaters can roll in regardless of ability.

Gameplay Tweaks and Assist Options

For players who are new to the series or just need a little help getting that 900°, THPS 3+4 adds optional assistive toggles for balancing manuals, lip tricks, and grinds, making combos easier to chain without demanding pixel-perfect input. Difficulty adjustments, checkpoint restarts, and simplified trick inputs also provide a smoother onboarding ramp for casual and younger players.

Full Control Over Customization

Customization doesn’t stop at controls. Players can now further personalize their experience with:

  • Expanded Create-a-Skater options
  • Revised trick assignment system
  • Visual accessibility filters
  • Music and sound mixing tweaks

Combined with modern save systems and fully online-compatible features, THPS 3+4 is poised to become the definitive way to play the classic games.

Skate How You Want

Whether you’re an original THPS3 fan or just learning how to ollie, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 has something for everyone — and thanks to Iron Galaxy’s detailed accessibility suite, everyone means everyone. The game officially launches this week across platforms.
