Vlad Circus: Curse of Asmodeus, the macabre, pixel-art psychological horror adventure from developer Indiesruption and publisher Blowfish Studios, officially launches on August 25, 2025, for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
Set in the same universe as Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness, this new installment drops players into the fragmented memories of Josef Petrescu, a disfigured and voiceless man haunted by trauma, guilt, and a past he doesn’t fully remember. When the charred legacy of the 1920s traveling circus resurfaces in the town of San Reno, Josef must confront distorted parallel timelines, solve reality-warping puzzles, and face down an ancient evil known as Asmodeus—a demonic entity who thrives on madness.
A Descent into Sanity and Suffering
Players will navigate through shifting realities and uncover clues linked to Josef’s fractured past. With a focus on narrative-driven exploration, Vlad Circus: Curse of Asmodeus presents:
- A surreal blend of horror and puzzle-solving wrapped in haunting pixel-art visuals
- A rich story that intertwines past and present, revisiting the tragedy of a once-beloved circus
- Encounters with nightmarish creatures and twisted versions of old friends
- Sanity-based mechanics where failure impacts Josef’s mind, challenging players to make smart, fast decisions
“It’s a game about illusions, loss, and confronting the darkest truths about ourselves,” says Diego Cánepa, lead designer at Indiesruption. “We wanted to craft a world where every choice and every puzzle adds another layer to the haunting mystery.”
