The long-awaited Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 finally has a release date. Announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, Paradox Interactive, White Wolf, and developer The Chinese Room confirmed the game will launch on October 21, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. Alongside the date, the team unveiled a surprising narrative twist: players will also step into the role of Fabien, a Malkavian detective tied directly to the story’s central mystery.
Two Vampires, Two Timelines
Players will experience Bloodlines 2’s narrative from two unique perspectives:
- Phyre – An Elder vampire who awakens in modern-day Seattle with their ancient powers locked away by a mysterious mark.
- Fabien – A 1920s-era Malkavian detective whose fractured perception of reality—marked by visions, voices, and insight both unreliable and revelatory—forces players to solve his murder in a noir-inspired storyline.
This dual-character approach blends modern Seattle’s shadowy vampire politics with Fabien’s noir past, deepening the narrative and offering distinct gameplay styles across timelines.
Pre-Orders, Editions, and Content
Pre-orders are now live for $59.99, with incentives for early buyers: the Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox, an in-game Haven decoration that plays a curated set of tracks from Bloodlines composer Rik Schaffer.
Three editions are available:
- Standard Edition – Base game featuring four clans: Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim, and Ventrue.
- Deluxe Edition ($69.99) – Includes Santa Monica Memories, a cosmetic pack with Haven decor inspired by the 2004 original.
- Premium Edition ($89.99) – Includes Santa Monica Memories plus Shadows & Silk, unlocking two additional playable clans: Lasombra and Toreador, complete with unique outfits, Disciplines, and playstyles.
All Deluxe and Premium content will be available at launch, and physical editions created with Plaion will be available at select retailers.
A Cult Classic Reborn
As the successor to the cult-hit 2004 original, Bloodlines 2 aims to deliver a modern take on the World of Darkness setting. Players will stalk Seattle’s streets, uncover dark secrets, battle rival Kindred, and carefully manage their thirst for blood while avoiding Masquerade violations that could expose vampire society to humanity.
