Level Infinite is bringing survival horror into virtual reality with Dread Meridian, a terrifying new title from developer Kukrgame, revealed during today’s Level Infinite Showcase. Built specifically for PC VR and Meta Quest 2, 3, and 3S, the game will plunge players into a frozen island filled with monsters, puzzles, and paranoia.
A Frozen Wasteland of Fear
Dread Meridian follows Daniella, a determined researcher searching for her missing twin sister on the remote island of Oglanbyen. What begins as a desperate rescue quickly unravels into a fight for survival as the island itself spirals into madness.
Players will need to scavenge, adapt, and make tense decisions with limited resources. With VR immersion at its core, every encounter feels close, dangerous, and unnervingly real.
Survive With What You Have
Combat in Dread Meridian emphasizes flexibility and survival instinct. Firearms can be customized, but ammo is scarce. Players will need to decide when to shoot, when to conserve bullets, and when to rely on their knife in desperate close encounters. Every battle forces you to weigh the cost of survival.
Beyond combat, players will face cryptic puzzles and explore dread-soaked environments, all designed to keep tension high and the sense of unease constant.
What’s Next for Dread Meridian
Level Infinite confirmed that community testing will begin later this year, giving horror and VR fans an early chance to experience the game and provide feedback. The developers also teased plans for a co-op PvE mode, letting players share the horror with friends in future updates.
More details, including a release window, will be shared in the coming months.
