Bandai Namco has released a playable demo for Super Robot Wars Y, letting mecha and tactical RPG fans jump into the first chapter ahead of the game’s full release on August 28 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The demo is available now on Switch and PS5, and players can carry over their save data—including custom characters, items, and resources—into the full game.
First Taste of the Ultimate Mecha Crossover
Super Robot Wars Y unites iconic mechs and pilots from across anime history, delivering grid-based tactical combat that blends strategy, spectacle, and fan service. Series appearing in the game include Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury Season 1, Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, SSSS.DYNAZENON, Getter Robo Arc, and Macross Delta: Passionate Walküre, among others.
Completing the first chapter in the demo unlocks special in-game rewards for the full release. Steam players who purchase the complete game will also receive these rewards automatically.
Pre-Orders and Editions
Digital pre-orders are now live for Super Robot Wars Y in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Editions across all platforms. Each version offers different bonuses, with the higher tiers including additional mechs, missions, and in-game resources.
