Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II Gameplay Overview Reveals Dual Campaigns

Bulwark Studios and Kasedo Games have unveiled a brand-new gameplay overview video for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II, the sequel to the critically acclaimed turn-based tactical strategy game. The video gives fans a first look at new factions, features, and systems while highlighting what sets this sequel apart from its predecessor.

Dual Campaigns: Adeptus Mechanicus vs. Necrons

One of the biggest reveals is that players will now experience full campaigns from both sides of the conflict. The Adeptus Mechanicus and the Necrons each bring their own narrative perspectives, units, and tactical approaches. This dual campaign structure promises to deliver a deeper, more varied experience, allowing players to fight for survival or domination depending on their allegiance.

Expanded Features and New Content

Alongside the dual campaigns, Mechanicus II introduces a wealth of new units, biomes, and weapons. Players can expect fresh battlefield environments and new strategic layers that expand on the original’s tactical depth. The overview video showcased updated visuals, improved animations, and redesigned systems to better immerse players in the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Hands-On at Gamescom 2025

Fans attending Gamescom 2025 can play the prologue of Mechanicus II at Hall 7.1, Booth A02, until Sunday, August 24. The demo offers a first taste of the game’s dual perspective, introducing mechanics unique to both factions.

Release Platforms

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II is in development for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. No release date has been announced yet.
