Acquire, the Chiyoda-based studio led by CEO Takuma Endo, is teaming up with Red Dunes Games to bring players two ambitious upcoming titles. With Acquire leading development and Red Dunes Games handling publishing, both projects are set to make their public debut with early demos at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
Visitors will be able to try these demos firsthand at the Red Dunes Games booth when TGS kicks off at Makuhari Messe on September 25, 2025. Attendees who complete a survey after trying the demos will also receive special rewards, including acrylic stands and holographic stickers.
Monster Eater (Project Umbra)
Genre: 2D Pixel Action Adventure
Step into a city where urban legends take physical form in Monster Eater (Project Umbra). Players take on the role of Exorcist Holo, who can devour anomalies and claim their powers. Alongside shrine maiden Miya, Holo must uncover the source of the strange phenomena plaguing the city.
Mysteries unravel through the online forum ParanormalPhenomena.com, pushing players to question Holo’s motives and the very nature of the world around them. By defeating anomalies and absorbing their abilities, players will shape the city’s future in this stylish pixel-art action adventure.
Hamrazu:Re (Project Shadowcar)
Genre: Time-Loop Spy Action Adventure
Set in an alternate early 20th century, Hamrazu:Re follows secret agent Kai Tokito, tasked with preventing a bombing during the Global Peace Summit aboard the luxurious Azure Express. Armed with a mysterious blue gem that grants the power to rewind time, Kai must relive each loop to uncover clues, build relationships with fellow passengers, and edge closer to the truth.
Every failed attempt brings new opportunities, as chance meetings turn into key insights and abilities. With its mix of espionage intrigue, time-loop mechanics, and a colorful cast, Hamrazu:Re offers a unique blend of storytelling and strategy where every decision shapes the outcome.
