Koei Tecmo and developer Gust have officially released Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian worldwide on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. The launch comes with a brand-new trailer and a celebratory illustration, giving fans a closer look at the game’s protagonists, Rias Eidreise and Slade Clauslyter, as they set out to restore their hometown of Hallfein and uncover its secrets.
Exploring Lantarna and the Dimensional Paths
Set on the continent of Lantarna, Atelier Resleriana invites players to explore towns, fields, and multi-level dungeons known as Dimensional Paths. These shifting labyrinths change with every visit, offering fresh challenges, enemies, and rare ingredients to collect. Gathering remains central, as materials fuel the game’s Gift Color Synthesis system, where players connect ingredient “Gift Colors” to craft powerful new items.
Strategic Combat and Town Restoration
Combat blends strategy and turn-based mechanics with a timeline system where action points, items, and coordinated attacks influence the flow of battle. Outside of combat, players can engage in shop management, crafting and selling items, while also investing resources to rebuild Hallfein’s five districts through requests and town hall upgrades. Familiar characters from past Atelier titles, including Sophie, Totori, Razeluxe, and Wilbell, also make appearances.
DLC Roadmap and Editions
Alongside the release, the Gust Extra BGM Pack DLC is now available, with more content arriving through early 2026. Upcoming add-ons include swimsuit costumes in November, returning protagonists Resna and Valeria in December, and a new high-difficulty dungeon with recipe expansions in January.
Players can choose between the standard edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition, or an Ultimate Edition featuring the Season Pass and collaborative costumes. Early buyers within the first two weeks will also receive special bonus outfits and charms.
Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian is out now on PS5, Switch, and PC (Steam), featuring Japanese voice acting with English text.
