Funcom has expanded the sands of Arrakis with Dune: Awakening’s first major free content update, Chapter 2, now available to all players. The update picks up after the events of Act 3, sending players deeper into a world of political intrigue and survival. Players can investigate a string of murders, explore new contracts, unlock fresh hairstyles and tattoos, and encounter dynamic events that make the desert more alive than ever.
Lost Harvest DLC Brings New Lore and Gear
Alongside the free update, Funcom has released the Lost Harvest DLC for $12.99. This standalone storyline lets players dive deeper into the dangerous lore of Dune. It introduces new Dune Man building pieces, unique decorations, cosmetic armor and weapon sets, swatches, and the ominous Thumper emote. A new treadwheel vehicle also arrives, offering a different style of traversal without altering core gameplay balance.
Free Weekend and First Discount
For those curious about the world of Dune: Awakening, Funcom is hosting a Free Weekend from September 11–15, allowing anyone to try the game with no restrictions and keep all progress if they decide to purchase. To sweeten the deal, the game will be 20% off from September 11–22 on Steam and third-party stores, marking its first-ever discount.
Season Pass Content Ahead
The Lost Harvest DLC can be purchased individually for $12.99 or bundled with the Dune: Awakening Season Pass ($24.99). The pass promises two more DLC drops, each adding new areas, stories, and gameplay elements to keep the sands of Arrakis shifting.
