Developer Chief Rebel and publisher Arc Games have announced that Fellowship, the first-ever Multiplayer Online Dungeon Adventure (MODA), has entered Open Beta on Steam. Players can jump in starting today, September 18, until September 23, ahead of the game’s Steam Early Access launch on October 16 for $24.99.
Following a breakout demo during February’s Steam Next Fest, which reached the top 5 most-played demos and brought in over 16,000 players, Fellowship is giving adventurers another chance to dive in before its full Early Access debut.
All Dungeons, All the Time
Unlike traditional MMOs, Fellowship removes the grind and cuts straight to the action with endlessly scaling dungeon runs. The game blends the teamwork and roles of MMOs, the fast pace of MOBAs, and the loot-driven progression of ARPGs into a streamlined dungeon-crawling experience.
In the Open Beta, players will have access to:
- Seven heroes (2 Tanks, 3 DPS, 2 Healers), including the new DPS character Mara.
- New dungeons like the Urrak Markets.
- Fresh gameplay systems, including matchmaking improvements, progression mechanics (Weapons, Gems, Talents, Crafting, Legendary gear), and a new cosmetic customization feature.
- Visual upgrades and balance tweaks based on community feedback.
With both Quick Play Dungeons for short runs and Ranked Dungeons with curses, ascensions, and scaling difficulty, Fellowship is built for both casual and competitive players.
Dungeon Runs Without Barriers
The team at Chief Rebel, made up of veterans from World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, Helldivers 2, Just Cause, and Battlefield, designed Fellowship to remove the usual entry barriers of MMO endgame content. Instead of sinking hours into prerequisites, players can jump into dungeon runs immediately, with rewards, loot, and progression systems keeping the experience fresh.
“After seeing all the passion during Steam Next Fest, we knew we had to get an Open Beta going,” said Axel Lindberg, CEO and Game Director at Chief Rebel. “This milestone is huge for us, as it gives players one last chance to shape the game with feedback before Early Access begins.”
