Ironwood Studios and Kepler Interactive have unveiled Whispers in the Woods, the first premium DLC for the acclaimed driving survival adventure Pacific Drive. The expansion is set to launch later this year on PC and PlayStation 5.
A New Story in the Olympic Exclusion Zone
Whispers in the Woods introduces a brand-new narrative that unfolds deep within a strange, effigy-filled forest in the Olympic Exclusion Zone. This expansion, available after the first few hours of the base game, pits players against a cult of anomaly-obsessed fanatics. With mysterious symbols, dangerous new areas, and bizarre Artifacts to discover, the DLC promises a chilling twist on the game’s signature survival gameplay.
Artifacts, Anomalies, and Altars
The expansion adds a variety of new mechanics and dangers to the Zone. Players will encounter new junction types, fresh anomaly behaviors, and mysterious altars tied to the group haunting the woods. Artifacts take center stage, offering strange effects that change gameplay in unpredictable ways. Your trusty station wagon also gets an upgrade, with new parts and customization inspired by the forest cult.
A Major Addition for Fans
Since its launch in February 2024, Pacific Drive has sold over one million units across PS5 and PC, supported by regular free updates like the Endless Expeditions mode. Whispers in the Woods stands out as a substantial addition, estimated at nearly one-third the size of the base game, with hours of new story content and survival challenges.
