Indie developer Big Brane Studios Inc. has announced that their narrative adventure Sushi Ben is set to launch on PC via Steam on September 18th, 2025. Originally debuting on VR consoles in 2023, the game has since built up a reputation as both a fan favorite and a viral hit thanks to its anime-inspired storytelling and playful minigames.
More Than Just Sushi: New Content for PC Players
The upcoming PC release isn’t just a simple port. Sushi Ben introduces over four additional hours of minigames and a full English voice cast featuring standout performances from anime and gaming stars like Laura Post (Little Witch Academia), Ryan Colt Levy (Chainsaw Man), and AJ Beckles (Dandadan). The game will also support both flat-screen play and VR for those who want the immersive manga-style experience.
A Story by the Creator of Hatoful Boyfriend
Set in the seaside town of Kotobuki, Sushi Ben tells the heartfelt and humorous tale of saving a beloved local sushi bar from corporate land sharks while forging bonds with quirky townsfolk. The narrative is penned by Hato Moa, the creator of the cult classic Hatoful Boyfriend, and is brought to life with a colorful cast of characters and pop-out manga panel storytelling.
A Slice-of-Life Adventure With Plenty of Distractions
Beyond the central story, players can dive into an array of minigames ranging from fishing and archery to dog walking and ghost hunting. These side activities flesh out the town and provide a lighthearted balance to the main adventure, reinforcing Sushi Ben’s mix of cozy slice-of-life and over-the-top anime energy.
