Blumhouse Games and Vermila Studios have announced that their upcoming folkloric horror game Crisol: Theater of Idols has officially surpassed 100,000 wishlists on Steam. To mark the occasion, the haunting track from the reveal trailer, “El Enamorado y la Muerte”, is now available to stream on YouTube.
A Song Rooted in Spanish Culture
The track, composed by Xavi Qués with lyrics sung by Celica Soldream, serves as a chilling reflection of Crisol’s eerie world of Tormentosa.
“Crisol has always sought to weave together diverse references from Spanish culture, and its soundtrack is no exception,” said creative director David Tornero. “It needed to be something profoundly Spanish, yet truly unique. That’s why, together with the talented Xavi Qués, I set out to revive pieces of Spanish poetry and reinterpret them as musical compositions that audiences can enjoy today.”
The song reinforces the game’s themes of folklore, faith, and fear, creating a perfect sonic backdrop for the unsettling atmosphere players will face.
More Music to Come
Blumhouse Games has confirmed that more music from their catalogue of upcoming horror titles will be uploaded in the future, giving fans a chance to immerse themselves in the unsettling soundscapes before release.
