Kwalee and Swedish indie developer BlueGooGames have announced that their upcoming cooking adventure game, Space Chef, will launch on October 28, 2025, for PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A brand-new trailer highlights the game’s alien worlds, bizarre ingredients, and the zany cooking chaos that awaits intergalactic chefs.
A Culinary Adventure Across the Stars
Space Chef blends restaurant management, survival RPG mechanics, and life sim elements into one ambitious cooking adventure. Players will:
- Cook 140+ unique dishes using over 100 alien ingredients.
- Explore five diverse planets, each filled with dangerous wildlife, strange plants, and rare resources.
- Encounter 180+ bizarre creatures, space pirates, and mysterious ruins.
- Craft more than 100 items to upgrade their character, spaceship, and kitchen.
For those who can’t wait until launch, a demo is now live on Steam, giving players an early taste of galactic gourmet life.

As players hunt down exotic ingredients, they’ll bring them back to their customizable space-trailer restaurant. Serving hungry customers with efficiency and flair earns Astronomical Culinary Excellence Stars, propelling chefs closer to galactic stardom.
Customers can order through deliveries or in-person dining once players expand their operations, while romanceable NPCs, quirky side quests, and rival corporations add plenty of narrative flavor.

Customization is at the heart of Space Chef. The space-trailer can be outfitted with over 150 decorations, furnishings, and themes, allowing players to design their restaurant from the ground up. Throughout the Horseshoe Nebula, players will meet a quirky cast of regulars, including:
