Indie game collective SUGOI has announced the Awesome Console Showcase, a brand-new digital event dedicated entirely to celebrating indie games coming to console platforms. The inaugural showcase airs on October 28 at 11 AM PT on YouTube and promises a tightly curated lineup of exciting announcements, new reveals, and fresh looks at highly anticipated indie titles.
A Celebration of Indie Excellence
The Awesome Console Showcase marks the first event focused exclusively on indie titles across consoles like Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Steam Deck. SUGOI describes the event as “all killer, no filler,” emphasizing a handpicked selection of standout games with no downtime or filler content, just the best of what’s next in indie console gaming.
Confirmed titles making an appearance include:
- Reus 2 (Abbey Games | Firesquid) — Create thriving ecosystems and guide humanity with the power of godly titans.
- Deck of Haunts (Mantis | DANGEN Entertainment & Game Source Entertainment) — Become a haunted house and terrify humans in this roguelike deckbuilder.
- ANTONBLAST (Summitsphere | Joystick Ventures) — A vividly explosive, fast-paced action platformer.
- The Cabin Factory (International Cat Studios | Future Friends Games) — Inspect cabins to uncover hauntings in this eerie horror experience.
- Camper Van: Make It Home (Malapata Studio | Wings) — A cozy puzzle and decorating game about transforming your dream camper van into a home.
Bringing Indie Games to the Forefront
SUGOI’s mission is to uplift and amplify indie developers by creating meaningful opportunities for exposure and community connection. The Awesome Console Showcase builds on SUGOI’s growing portfolio of creative events, including the viral The Game Awards for Games Who Can’t Afford the Game Awards (TGAGWCAGA) and the SUGOI Showcase, both of which have earned acclaim for their humor, heart, and support for indie talent.
Fans can tune in to the premiere of the Awesome Console Showcase on October 28 via YouTube.
