Dispatch Sells Over One Million Copies in Ten Days as Episodes 5 and 6 Launch

AdHoc Studio’s debut episodic adventure, Dispatch, has officially sold over one million copies across Steam and the PlayStation Store just ten days after its release. The acclaimed superhero workplace comedy continues its momentum with the launch of Episodes 5 and 6, setting the stage for the season finale on November 12.

The announcement was accompanied by a new teaser trailer showcasing moments from the latest chapters and hints at the chaos yet to come.

Critics and Players Agree: Dispatch Is a Smash Hit

Since launch, Dispatch has quickly become one of 2025’s highest-rated narrative games by player score. The title currently holds a 9.3 User Score on Metacritic, 93% positive reviews on Steam from over 19,000 players, and an impressive 4.95/5 rating on the PlayStation Store.

“It’s always a little strange when the numbers get so big you have to talk about them,” said Michael Choung, Executive Producer and CEO at AdHoc Studio. “A week ago, we were just as thrilled watching Let’s Plays and reaction videos. But milestones like this matter. They mean AdHoc will be able to make more story-driven episodic originals, and we hope it means it’ll be easier for other devs to do the same. Hard to believe we’re only halfway done.”

About Dispatch

Developed by a team of former Telltale Games writers and directors, Dispatch blends superhero satire with heartfelt storytelling. Players step into the shoes of Robert Robertson (aka Mecha Man), a washed-up superhero now managing a rehabilitation program for ex-supervillains after losing his mech suit in battle.

Tasked with leading a team of unpredictable former criminals, Robert must balance mission logistics, interpersonal drama, and his own quest for redemption, all while attempting to rebuild his mech suit and face his nemesis once more.

Episodes 5 and 6 continue the game’s mix of sharp humor, cinematic direction, and branching dialogue, as the dysfunctional team faces its most personal and chaotic challenges yet.
