Seeker Games, a new indie studio built by former developers from Blizzard, Maxis, Riot, and Sony Online Entertainment, has announced KinForge, a cooperative creature-collecting action RPG where you draw power from ancient Elementals to push back a spreading corruption. The team describes the project as a mix of fast combat, build experimentation, and emotional bonds with your creature companions.
KinForge is in development for PC first, with console versions possible down the line.
Restore Balance With Elemental Companions
In KinForge’s world, corporations have exploited hidden Elementals for profit, twisting nature into corrupted wastelands. A handful of chosen people are granted the ability to see the Mystic Realm, letting them bond with Elementals and use their power in battle. Each mission begins with choosing which Elementals to bring, with every creature offering unique abilities that shape your playstyle.
You can play solo or with up to three allies as you explore damaged regions, rescue spirits, and clear corruption. Saving new Elementals expands your roster and unlocks new builds with power combinations that can stack in unexpected ways.
Build, Reincarnate, and Experiment
Between missions, players return to their Preserve, a home base where Elementals can be reincarnated, ability kits can be forged, and new loadouts can be experimented with. Campaigns are procedurally generated, and each run is influenced by choices and bonds from previous journeys, allowing for long-term progression built around experimentation.
A Studio Built Around Hope and Collaboration
Seeker Games says KinForge is grounded in ideas of restoration and shared resilience. CEO Oksana Kubushyna describes the project as a game “about cooperation, courage, and hope,” while CCO Travis McGeathy calls it “hopeful, but not cozy,” blending action-RPG intensity with the emotional depth of creature-collecting games and the social DNA of EverQuest.
Players can follow KinForge to track development updates and future playtests.
