Developer Team Soda and publisher Bilibili Game have rolled out a brand-new free holiday update for Escape From Duckov, now available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as Mac via Steam and the Mac App Store. The update introduces fresh content themed around the winter season, giving players new challenges to tackle as Duckov celebrates the holidays.
Alongside the free update, Escape From Duckov is currently available at a 12% discount across all supported PC platforms, running through January 5, 2026.
New Challenge Map, NPC, and Winter Weather
The holiday update brings a new challenge map featuring a “clawsome” new NPC, along with new enemy types, additional weapon blueprints, and fresh gear to discover. Players will also encounter a dynamic winter weather system, adding chilly environmental effects that can impact visibility and gameplay as they navigate Duckov’s collapsing world.
These additions expand the game’s survival loop, offering both returning players and newcomers more reasons to jump back in during the holiday season.

The game reached 200,000 units sold within its first 24 hours, surpassed 1 million units in just five days, and has maintained an “Overwhelmingly Positive” user rating on Steam.
At its peak, Escape From Duckov hit 301,000 concurrent players, ranking as the 49th-highest all-time concurrent player count on Steam and earning a spot among the top 10 Steam releases of 2025 by peak player count, according to publicly available tracking data.
A Quirky Take on Survival RPGs
Escape From Duckov is a single-player, top-down PvE survival RPG that blends lighthearted humor with surprisingly deep systems. Set in a mysterious, egg-shaped planet on the brink of collapse, players customize their own duck protagonist and work toward escaping the world by crafting a rocket ship.
