Arc System Works America has announced that Phinks will arrive as the second DLC character for Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact on December 25, 2025. The new fighter will be available across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
Phinks joins the 2D fighting game’s growing roster as a power-type character, bringing devastating close-range damage and high-risk, high-reward gameplay inspired directly by his abilities from the anime and manga.
Nen Ability “Ripper Cyclotron” Brings Massive Damage Potential
Phinks’ signature Nen ability, Ripper Cyclotron, allows his punch power to increase with each rotation of his arm. The more he winds up, the more destructive the resulting attack becomes, but there’s a catch. While charging, Phinks is completely defenseless, requiring careful timing and smart positioning to unleash his full potential without leaving himself open to punishment.
This design makes Phinks a calculated brawler, rewarding players who are willing to take risks for overwhelming damage.
Nen-Powered Team Battles Continue
Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact is a 3-on-3 tag-based fighting game based on Yoshihiro Togashi’s iconic anime and manga series. Players build a team of three characters and utilize a fast-paced tag system that allows for assist attacks, character swaps, and dynamic team-based combos.
The system encourages experimentation, letting players form dream teams and unexpected alliances as they clash in high-energy, Nen-powered battles against friends or online opponents.

Alongside the DLC announcement, Arc System Works confirmed that its Winter Sale 2025 is currently underway on both Steam and Nintendo Switch. During the sale, players can grab Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact at 50% off for both the standard and deluxe editions.
The sale also includes major discounts on other Arc System Works titles, such as Guilty Gear -Strive-, with select games discounted by up to 90%.
