GungHo and Nihon Falcom have announced the Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter release window for the remake of the second chapter in Estelle and Joshua’s journey.
Alongside an announcement trailer, the companies revealed that Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter will be released on the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam in the fall of 2026. In addition to 3D visuals, the remake will have “refined gameplay,” according to the press release.
The title will also have updated English and Japanese voicework on all platforms, as well as several supported text languages. All of the console versions are set to support English, German, French, and Spanish, while Steam will support Japanese, English, German, French, and Spanish.

What is Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter about?
“Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter follows Estelle as she searches for Joshua and confronts the Enforcers of Ouroboros,” reads the official synopsis. “Though the struggle centers on Liberl Kingdom, its implications touch the wider continent of Zemuria, drawing Estelle into ancient mysteries, political tensions, and the truth behind Joshua’s past.
