Deep Silver and King Art Games have officially launched the first of four faction reveals for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, and it’s only fitting that the Orks are leading the charge. The newly released CGI narrative trailer sets the tone for the upcoming RTS with all the volume, chaos, and raw aggression expected from a full-scale WAAAGH!
Gorgutz ’Ead ’Unter Returns to Kronus
The Ork-focused CGI introduces Gorgutz ’Ead ’Unter, Warboss of the Bad Moons, as he spearheads a surprise assault on the Blood Ravens while they orbit the embattled world of Kronus. The cinematic depicts Orks storming a Blood Raven vessel, immediately plunging both factions into brutal close-quarters combat.
Chief Librarian Jonah Orion is shown unleashing powerful psychic attacks in a desperate attempt to stem the green tide, while Captain Cyrus provides precision fire from a defensive position. Despite their efforts, the Blood Ravens are overwhelmed as the ship sustains critical damage.
The Battle for Kronus Begins Again
With the situation spiraling out of control, the Blood Ravens are forced to abandon their vessel and make a risky drop to the surface of Kronus. The trailer makes it clear this retreat is no escape; Gorgutz and his boyz pursue relentlessly, signaling that the war for Kronus is far from over.
This cinematic serves as a narrative setup, reestablishing Kronus as a major battleground and highlighting the scale and intensity players can expect from Dawn of War IV’s campaign.
More Factions on the Way
The Ork CGI marks the first of four planned faction reveal trailers, each designed to introduce a playable faction through in-game CGI narrative sequences. Deep Silver and King Art Games have confirmed that additional factions will be revealed in the coming months, offering fans a steady stream of new information leading up to launch.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is currently in development for PC and is expected to release sometime in 2026.
