Airship survival RPG Echoes of Elysium is now available in Steam Early Access, bringing open-world survival, crafting, and large-scale airship exploration to PC. Developed by Loric Games and published by Snail Games USA, the game launches today, January 27, 2026, priced at $19.99, with a 10% launch discount available during its first week.
A new Early Access launch trailer released alongside the launch highlights the game’s floating islands, clockwork enemies, and fully customizable airships, while teasing the deeper lore hidden throughout the world of Elysium.
Build, Customize, and Survive in the Skies
Echoes of Elysium is set in a fractured airborne world where ancient machinery and soul-powered clockwork creatures roam the skies. Players construct and pilot their own airships, which act as both transportation and mobile bases. Crafting, storage, and upgrades all happen aboard your vessel, turning airship management into a core survival mechanic rather than a side feature.
The Early Access version includes the game’s foundational crafting and survival systems, the first major region of the world, several hours of quest content, and a climactic boss encounter. Players can progress far enough to craft Tier 2 weapons, tools, and airship components, setting the stage for more advanced systems later in development.
Solo Play or 6-Player Co-Op
Players can experience Echoes of Elysium solo in offline play or team up in up to 6-player co-op, taking on both airborne and ground-based combat encounters together. Multiplayer battles feature ship-to-ship combat alongside traditional survival RPG mechanics, creating moments where teamwork and positioning matter just as much in the air as they do on land.
Resource gathering remains central to progression, with unique materials scattered across floating islands and skybound environments. Everything from harvesting and crafting to combat and exploration is designed around the game’s airborne focus.
Early Access Roadmap and 2026 Expansions
Loric Games also outlined an ambitious Early Access roadmap. Ongoing updates will focus on stability, accessibility, and quality-of-life improvements, including expanded localization, controller support, deeper ship customization, Steam Deck support, and core performance improvements.
Two major content expansions are planned for 2026. The Spring Expansion introduces dynamic storms, new enemies, Tier 3 airship components, and a new boss. The Summer Expansion expands the world further with a brand-new biome, caves and dungeons, a Pilot class, deeper customization systems, and additional enemy threats. Community feedback during Early Access will help shape these updates.
Built for the Long Haul
To support long-term development, Echoes of Elysium has transitioned from Unity 2021 to Unity 6.3, improving overall stability and performance. According to Loric Games co-founder and CEO Brian Johnson, the engine upgrade provides a stronger technical foundation as the game evolves alongside its growing community.
Echoes of Elysium is available now in Early Access on Steam, with more content and features planned throughout 2026.
