Battle Vision Network Reworked as PC Roguelike, Launching in 2026

Capybara Games has announced a major shift in direction for Battle Vision Network, confirming the colorful puzzle battler will now launch in 2026 on PC.

The Toronto-based studio known for titles like Below, Grindstone, and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP revealed that Battle Vision Network has evolved significantly since its original 2024 announcement.

From Mobile Live Service to PC Campaign

Initially conceived as a mobile-first, live-service competitive 1v1 experience with seasonal updates, Battle Vision Network has now pivoted to a PC-first, single-player campaign with roguelike-inspired progression.

According to Capybara Games President Eileen Hollinger, the project’s development journey shifted following Netflix’s broader strategy changes in late 2024. After parting ways with the live-service approach, the team embraced a new direction, one they say has reignited excitement around the game.

While multiplayer remains on the roadmap, it is no longer the core focus. Instead, the spotlight is now on crafting a deep, strategic single-player experience.

An Intergalactic Sporting Spectacle

Battle Vision Network places players in charge of a team competing in a vibrant, intergalactic sporting spectacle. The gameplay centers on color-matching puzzle mechanics that feel approachable at first, gradually unfolding into layered strategic systems with meaningful depth.

Set within a richly stylized universe, the game introduces a cast of magnetic and quirky characters who guide players through its immersive campaign structure. Capybara describes the experience as both accessible and compelling, with complexity revealed over time through smart progression systems.

Battle Vision Network is scheduled to launch on PC in 2026, with additional platforms potentially following at a later date. Players can wishlist the game on Steam and stay tuned for further updates as development continues.
