Arc System Works has officially opened pre-orders for Damon and Baby, the upcoming top-down shooting adventure arriving on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam on March 26, 2026.
Alongside the pre-order announcement, the publisher revealed details for the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition and confirmed a limited-time Steam demo launching February 19.
A Demon Lord, a Mysterious Child, and a High-Octane Journey
Damon and Baby follows Damon, a Demon Lord tasked with protecting a mysterious child following the final request of his late best friend. What begins as a promise quickly spirals into a globe-spanning quest to break a powerful curse.
Blending exploration-driven action with tight twin-stick shooting mechanics, the game offers a mix of fast-paced combat and character progression. Players will master a wide arsenal of weapons, including handguns, machine guns, and other specialized tools, while tackling strategic boss encounters across a vast world.
Between battles, players can return to a customizable base to upgrade gear, manage progression systems, and refine their build through skill trees and cosmetic outfit options.
The game also supports 2-player offline local co-op, with the second player controlling a canine companion that assists in combat and item collection. Players can further unleash powerful “ULT” abilities to turn the tide of battle in critical moments.
Digital Deluxe Edition and Early Access Details
Pre-orders are now available for both the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions across all platforms, with a 10% early-purchase discount available for a limited time.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes:
- The base game
- A Digital Artwork collection featuring concept sketches by Executive Director and Game Designer Daisuke Ishiwatari
- The official soundtrack
Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition on PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 will also receive PlayStation-exclusive 24-hour early access to the game.
Steam Demo and Steam Next Fest Participation
A playable demo will launch on Steam on February 19 at 5:00 PM PT and run through March 2 at 6:00 PM PT. The demo will allow players worldwide to get an early look at the action ahead of launch.
Following the demo release, Damon and Baby will also participate in the February edition of Steam Next Fest.
Meet the Supporting Cast
Arc System Works also introduced additional characters joining Damon’s journey, including:
- Gargoyle, a magical operator from Hell Insurance
- A desert Shopkeeper who provides Damon with a trailer base
- William, a mysterious cartographer tracking ancient monuments
- Kokopelli, a prophetic shaman guiding Damon as the “Chosen One”
- Father Nuno, Damon’s fallen friend, whose final wish sets the story in motion
- Death, a polite yet relentless demon determined to take the child away
