Starsand Island Launches Into Steam Early Access and Xbox Preview on February 11

Seed Sparkle Lab has announced that Starsand Island, its anime-inspired life and farming simulation, will launch into Steam Early Access and Xbox Preview on February 11, 2026. Developed by a Zhuhai–based studio, the cozy island sim invites players to slow down, reconnect, and build a peaceful new life far from the pressures of the city.

The Early Access release will allow the team to finalize content and further refine the game’s endgame experience based on player feedback, laying the groundwork for a full launch later this year.

Full Release and Multiplayer Coming in Summer 2026

Following its Early Access period, Starsand Island is set to fully launch in summer 2026 on Steam (with Steam Deck support), Xbox Series consoles, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. The official release will also introduce the game’s multiplayer mode, allowing players to build, explore, and relax together on the island.

A new trailer released alongside the announcement offers a fresh look at the game’s tranquil setting, expressive characters, and wide range of activities awaiting players.

A Return Home to Heal and Rebuild

Set on a serene island far removed from urban life, Starsand Island follows a protagonist returning to their childhood home on a journey of personal healing. Players can embrace a slower pace by mastering everyday island skills such as farming and fishing, forming friendships and relationships with the local residents, and exploring the island’s diverse environments.

While much of island life is calm and comforting, there are also mysteries to uncover. Players can venture into ancient ruins inhabited by strange and wonderful creatures and discover secrets hidden throughout the island.

Explore in Style and Build Your Dream Home

Exploration in Starsand Island isn’t limited to walking. Players can traverse the island using a variety of vehicles, including roller blades, hoverboards, cars, and even a motorbike with a sidecar, adding a playful sense of freedom to the experience.

Home-building is another major pillar of the game. With an intricate and flexible DIY construction system, players can design their ideal home down to the smallest detail, from layout to photo frames. Whether crafting a grand manor, a cozy cottage, or a sleek mid-century bungalow, players can fully decorate both the interior and exterior and even invite friends to help bring their vision to life.
