iam8bit and Blumhouse Games have announced that the atmospheric horror title Fear the Spotlight is now available in a PlayStation 5 physical edition for the first time. Developed by Cozy Game Pals, the survival horror experience is now available for purchase through iam8bit’s online store and participating retailers.
The physical release allows fans to bring the eerie lo-fi horror adventure home with a collectible edition that highlights the game’s unsettling atmosphere and retro-inspired design.
A Lo-Fi Survival Horror Story at Sunnyside High
Fear the Spotlight follows two students, Vivian and Amy, who sneak into their school library after hours to perform a séance. What begins as a reckless teenage experiment quickly spirals into something far more sinister when the ritual goes wrong.
Separated during the supernatural encounter, players experience the story through two parallel perspectives as they attempt to reunite the pair while uncovering the disturbing secrets hidden within Sunnyside High. Along the way, players must evade stalking spirits, solve puzzles, and piece together the truth behind the haunting events.
The game’s distinct lo-fi visual style and slow-burn tension aim to evoke classic survival horror experiences while emphasizing narrative and atmosphere.
Two Physical Editions Available
The PlayStation 5 physical release is available in two versions for collectors and fans of physical media.
Both the standard retail edition and the iam8bit Exclusive Edition include a collectible 12” x 18” poster inspired by the game’s haunting aesthetic. The iam8bit Exclusive Edition also comes with a special O-Sleeve, designed as an additional collectible for horror fans and physical game collectors.
