Mongil: Star Dive Launches Globally April 15 on PC and Mobile

Netmarble has officially confirmed the global launch date for Mongil: Star Dive, its upcoming monster-taming action RPG. The game will release worldwide on April 15 for PC and mobile platforms.

Developed by Netmarble Monster, Mongil: Star Dive serves as the sequel to the popular 2013 mobile collectible RPG Monster Taming. Built using Unreal Engine 5, the new entry aims to deliver cinematic storytelling alongside fast-paced action combat.

Real-Time Combat and Monster Collecting

Mongil: Star Dive blends real-time combat with team-based strategy through its three-character tag battle system, allowing players to switch between characters mid-fight to create powerful combinations and tactical advantages.

The game also introduces the Monsterling Collection system, a core feature that allows players to capture and collect monsters to use as companions in battle. These creatures can be synthesized, equipped, and enhanced, giving players multiple ways to build strategies and strengthen their teams.

Alongside the monster-collecting mechanics, the game features a cast of colorful characters and a story-driven adventure designed to emphasize cinematic presentation.

Ahead of launch, Mongil: Star Dive has gone through multiple global closed beta tests as the development team worked to refine gameplay and stability.

The game has also been featured at major industry events such as Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show, where attendees could experience hands-on demos.

More recently, the title attracted attention at G-STAR 2025 with the reveal of a new Korean-inspired region and additional characters. During Game Developers Conference 2026, currently taking place in San Francisco, Netmarble showcased the game through a collaborative on-site demo experience with Xbox, along with new gameplay footage.

“We are focusing all of our efforts on final polishing to deliver Mongil: Star Dive at the highest level of quality,” said Ken Kim, CEO of Netmarble Monster.
