Samson: A Tyndalston Story Out Now on PC

Samson: A Tyndalston Story is out now on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $24.99, marking the debut release from Liquid Swords, the studio founded by Christofer Sundberg.

The hardboiled action game follows Samson McCray as he returns to the city of Tyndalston after serving time in jail, only to find the city gripped by a new drug called White Whisper. What starts as a personal struggle tied to debt and family quickly grows into something much larger.

A smaller-scale action game focused on hand-to-hand combat

With Samson: A Tyndalston Story, Liquid Swords is taking a more focused approach than the team’s past large-scale projects. The game centers on close-quarters combat rather than gunplay, with players relying on fists, elbows, improvised weapons, and environmental objects during fights.

According to the studio, the combat system is designed to feel grounded and punishing, with every encounter carrying weight. The game also includes a limited Action Point system, which puts pressure on how players spend each day and shapes how quickly their situation can worsen.

A city shaped by debt, factions, and player choices

The story is set in Tyndalston, a city built around shifting loyalties, growing debts, and long-running grudges. Samson is dealing with a debt that compounds over time, while his sister is being used as leverage by the people he owes.

Liquid Swords says the city tracks player decisions over time, with factions changing, streets evolving, and consequences carrying forward based on who Samson helps or crosses. The game also features Samson’s car, the Magnum Opus, which can be used during driving sections with physics-based vehicle damage.
