Publisher Spaghetti Cat has announced Midnight Souls, a 2D mystical adventure set in the strange provincial town of Camomile Peaks. The announcement arrived with a new trailer showing the game’s mix of black humor, horror, nostalgia, puzzles, and RPG elements.
Players take on the role of a teenager traveling to a new town for a date with a girl he met online, only for the trip to turn into a much darker mystery.
Romance Turns Into Horror
Midnight Souls starts with a search for first love but quickly shifts into a story about secrets, danger, and survival. Players will explore Camomile Peaks, meet new characters, and uncover the truth behind the town and the mysterious girl at the center of the story.
The game also features deadly puzzles, quick-time events, mini-games, and boss battles tied to both real threats and the protagonist’s inner fears.
Charlie the Cat Joins the Adventure
The protagonist will also be joined by Charlie, his loyal cat companion. Players will need to keep Charlie safe during the journey, though Spaghetti Cat hints that he may also help when things get dangerous.
