GungHo Online Entertainment America has revealed its Anime Expo 2026 plans, headlined by the first public demo of Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet. Visitors to booth #2316 in the West Hall will be among the first players to experience the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive ahead of its Spring 2027 launch.
First Hands-On With Ninjala 2
Ninjala 2 expands the original game’s fast-paced action into an open-world adventure where players can explore vast environments, tackle dungeons, and battle giant bosses either alone or with up to four players. The Anime Expo demo includes two experiences: a combat-focused Planetary Exploration Course and a more relaxed Photography Course that lets players take in the scenery. Everyone who participates will receive an inflatable IPPON Katana.
Giveaways and Merchandise
GungHo will also host a booth giveaway featuring prizes such as a Nintendo Switch 2 console, Nintendo eShop gift cards, collectible Ninjala 2 button pins, and a prize bundle that includes a Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and a game of the winner’s choice from several GungHo-published titles. Attendees can enter by following GungHo on social media and completing activities at the booth.
Fans looking to take something home can browse merchandise from Ninjala 2, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, and Puzzle & Dragons. The selection includes shirts, tote bags, mugs, character stands, phone charms, keychains, stickers, and more. Puzzle & Dragons players can also claim special in-game rewards through QR codes available at the booth.
A Major Showcase for Ninjala 2
Following its recent reveal during Nintendo Direct, Anime Expo will serve as the first opportunity for the public to see how Ninjala 2 evolves the series into a cooperative open-world experience. The game follows a group of ninja students stranded on a mysterious planet, setting the stage for the first chapter in a planned two-part story.
For fans attending Anime Expo 2026, GungHo’s booth is shaping up to be one of the convention’s biggest destinations for hands-on gameplay and exclusive collectibles.
