Today Guitar Hero publisher Activision revealed that in their upcoming game Guitar Hero: World Tour, one of the new features allows players to use dual bass pedals when playing the drum kit. Players will also be able to use synthesisers with the drum kit whilest using the game’s music creation engine, to create electronic beats and drum tracks. The in-game drum machine can be programmed with a wide range of different beats to choose from when creating a drum loop. Also revealed is that keyboard playing can be done by using the game’s guitar, using motion sensors that allow players to change octave by tilting the guitar. An in-game sequencer will be featured to allow players to mix and edit tracks quickly.
In addition to creating songs, players will be able to share their work with the Guitar Hero community. Players will be able to create their own rockstar, design their album art, and then upload songs. Once uploaded, songs can be ranked, similar to a real world music chart.
Guitar Hero: World Tour is expected to appear on shelves in October later this year for Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Wii, and Xbox 360.
