So Home is this huge online space where Playstation 3 users can create very in-depth characters where you can then move around the world and create your own Living Space. Not only that, but you can interact with other online players as you would in an MMO, use pre-typed messages, use a keyboard to type out messages or talk with a headset of any kind.
Living Spaces could be completely decked out, you could invite friends to it, you could hang out with your buddies and play in the arcades, play Pool, Bowl or visit Theatres. With Home being very anticipated because of it’s free download being implemented into the XMB via a Firmware Update. But wait, why isn’t it out yet?
Well there are quite a few reasons I could name, I could say they’re not ready, the load times are still too long, not enough features that were promised are in yet and there are probably other issues. But the Open Beta should be coming around October of this year, if not, will we ever see Home?
Home will also allow you to have 3D Trophies, start games with friends, share photos, movies, songs and much, much more. There are also planned releases of extras, more clothes, more items to make your Living Space, a larger Living Space in a better area and so much more. Which is why this is easily the most hyped up Firmware Update PS3 consumers want out.
But has the hype died down? Of course it has, but during E3, we were promised, “Your patience will be rewarded.” I hope so, but to keep us down for a bit, here are some screens and some videos after the jump!
