The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back, but this time, the fight is more tactical. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown, the turn-based beat-em-up from Strange Scaffold (I Am Your Beast, CLICKOLDING) and Paramount Game Studios, is set to launch on Steam for PC on May 22, 2025.
To celebrate, the developers have dropped a brand-new release date trailer and are bringing a playable demo to Day of the Devs: San Francisco Edition at GDC 2025 on March 16.
A Gritty, Strategic Take on TMNT
Tactical Takedown reimagines the TMNT universe with a bold new vision, blending turn-based strategy with fast-paced beat-em-up combat. The story kicks off in a darker era for the Turtles—Splinter and Shredder are dead, and the brothers must fight their way through 20 evolving levels as they enter adulthood.
- Four Playable Turtles – Take control of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, each with unique movesets, skills, and super attacks.
- Battle the Foot Clan & More – Face off against iconic TMNT villains in a world that changes as you fight, with mutating level designs keeping battles unpredictable.
- Tactical Depth Meets Classic Combat – Customize loadouts, unlock new abilities, and chain together devastating combos in fights that blend strategy with classic TMNT action.
- A Striking Comic-Inspired Art Style – The game pops off the screen with a graphic novel aesthetic, featuring bold paint splatters and diorama-like setpieces.
- A Killer Soundtrack by RJ Lake – The multi-genre, high-energy soundtrack comes from award-winning composer RJ Lake (Unbeatable, I Am Your Beast).
