Childhood memories rejoice! SEGA has announced Shinobi for the Nintendo 3DS. Set for release in September 2011, Griptonite Games is reviving the classic side-scroller action with new features like StreetPass, achievements, and challenges to be unlocked.
Shinobi focuses on the story of Jino Musashi, the leader of the Oboro clan and father of Joe Musashi, the hero featured in the first iterations of Shinobi. To master the way of the ninja, a new combo system is employed mashing up melee, ranged, and acrobatic attacks as well as the use of ninja magic to get out of tight situations.
