Persona 3 Reload Nintendo Switch 2 Performance Update Now Live

A new Persona 3 Reload update has dropped for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the acclaimed remake, improving the game’s performance in various ways.

The update, Version 1.03, adds a Performance Mode that targets 60 fps to the Switch 2 release, though this setting is only available in TV mode. Additionally, both TV mode and handheld mode have received improved frame stability through this update, meaning you should notice some pleasant differences regardless of how you play it.

If you’re reading this and don’t actually have Persona 3 Reload on your Nintendo Switch 2, then you’re in luck — the remake has gotten its first ever sale on Nintendo’s latest console, with its price being reduced by 15% on the Nintendo eShop until January 4, 2026. This brings the title down to $51 for the first time on the Nintendo Switch 2.

We reviewed Persona 3 Reload back in 2024, describing it as an “excellent and faithful remake of one of the best RPGs of the PS2 and PSP” that “updates any outdated mechanics and maintains all of the best parts of the originals.”

When was Persona 3 Reload released?

Persona 3 Reload was first released for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 2, 2024. Over a year and a half later, the game debuted on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 23, 2025. Since its original release, Persona 3 Reload has also seen the paid addition of Episode Aigis: The Answer — a remake of the epilogue chapter The Answer, which was originally a part of the PS2 rerelease Persona 3 FES.
