Soul Calibur 5 Announced, Hits 2012

All the rumors can now be put to rest, Namco Bandai has announced that Soul Calibur V is currently in development from Project Soul. Revealed through a trailer, Soul Calibur V takes place 17 years after the last game with improvements made to the battle system as well as new features. The plot of SCV will revolve around Patroklos, Sophitia’s son, as he uncovers his family’s destiny through the Soul swords.

No platforms confirmed but we suspect Xbox 360, Playstation 3 versions are in the works. We do know, however, its set for release in 2012. Let’s hope that release window holds true.
