Kid Icarus: Uprising Delayed Until 2012

The revival of Kid Icarus on the Nintendo 3DS handheld will have to wait in the hangar for a bit as Nintendo confirmed that the Tokyo Game Show that it has been pushed back from release this holiday season.

Nintendo stated the development team needed more time to complete the game and thus, 2012. Let’s hope Super Smash Bros 3DS isn’t in the same condition. The company hinted at an early 1st quarter release but it would only be for Japan. However, its not all bad news as Nintendo revealed it is working with “critically acclaimed Japanese anime production houses” to produce 3D Kid Icarus animations for release on Nintendo Video for free.
